Keeping Your Weight Loss Resolution

Okay, here we are two days into the year and many of us are already feeling the strain of our New Year’s Resolution of weight loss. Remember that the reason most people have the same resolutions year after year is because they’re trying to accomplish something that’s not easy. So to be able to lose weight you have to keep a few things in mind.

You need a plan.

Know how much weight you want to lose. Is it 5, 10, 20 pounds? How will you accomplish this? It’s usually easiest to follow a pre-made fitness plan and diet. So whether you choose Fat Loss 4 Idiots or the Eat Stop Eat … choose one and stick to it.

Take it slow.

You’re not going to lose 10 pounds in a week or at least you shouldn’t try to. Go slow. Follow your diet and exercise plan and cut yourself some slack if you don’t follow it to the letter. Nobody’s perfect and if you foul up a bit just note that fact and move on. Keep on going.
